Also remember getting CRITICAL_SYSTEM_ERROR, IRQL NOT LESS OR EQUAL..like I said, an actual different error each time, lol.
Hey everyone! At my wit's end here. Hoping it's something simple! After installing new RAM (listed above in specs) I'm getting BSOD errors thrown at me while using the PC without fail, every time. Whether it be playing a game, using Chrome, downloading something, etc. I've even let it sit after booting windows and it did it. The BSOD's are literally different every time so far. I included them in a pastebin above, but they all SEEM to be related to RAM (makes sense, seeing as that's what I just upgraded.)
So to try and fix those, I:
- Tried reseating RAM, placing it in different slots, using a single 8gb stick instead of both
- Ran Memtest64 last night, it had about 200+ errors before I went to bed, and it was off for some reason when I woke up with no report, PC was asleep. (Should I just end all my troubleshooting here and attribute to bad RAM and try and return it?)
- Completely fresh windows installation
- Downloaded all drivers for mobo and gpu
A funny thing I noticed is that in my BIOS, the DRAM frequency is set to Auto and detects it as 1600 MHZ. When I tried changing the setting manually to DDR3 1866, my PC didn't even load to POST and I had to reset the CMOS to get it back up again.
If anyone could glance at this and make any suggestions I will love you for eternity. Maybe I'm just missing something, or need some assurance that it's just faulty RAM? I bought if from Fry's brand new so I'm doubtful.
EDIT: I haven't been able to throw the old RAM back in there as I loaned it to a friend. That would be part of my troubleshooting procedure just to make sure that it's nothing else besides memory, but I want to be able to use more/upgraded RAM that I just purchased.
