I bought a 256GB mx300 drive to stick in my zenbook. Using Acronis it will go through all the procedures, even adjusting the boot order in BIOS but upon startup will load to a blank screen with a glitchy mouse cursor.
One time i tried again and ended up in a boot loop with Acronis failing to detect the media and asking me the same question over and over again until I just shut it down, booted from the old drive and started all over again.
I've done this a few times before with Samsung Magician with no issues on my other PCs, but it's not available to use with the crucial drive.
Is there a better way to do this, other than losing all the data on the laptop and doing a reinstall of windows?Because my wife will be super pissed if all her work documents, VPN programs and photos/videos are missing when done. I can't even do a backup because all the USB sticks in the house are full of other backups or not big enough.
