Hi so as the title says, I'm having a black screen of death issue.
This first occurred when I was playing games, it crashed and had these weird graphical lines going vertical along my screen, it happened a few times. Eventually I got fed up and powered down my pc and unplugged everything. I noticed there was a some dust in my graphics card and all along the case.
Eventually I blew some dust outwards and plugged my pc back in only to get into the windows logo screen then go straight black, no cursor, no keyboard commands nothing would work. So I turned it off and turned it back on to boot into safe mode to run a diagnostic check on the pc. Of course nothing was found no problems nothing. I've tried a few things such as deleting me explorer.exe and a few more things. Nothing worked. So after a few hours of frustration I ended up reformatting my SSD and Hard drive, hoping that'd do the trick. I ended up putting windows 7 as my OS this time since I didn't have a windows 10 OS. Of course once i got to the windows logo screen after that it went black again.
So Finally I booted into safe mode and removed my Graphics card's driver. Booted it back up normally and FINALLY I get past the windows login screen. Then I do my usual first time setting up with my mother board drivers etc and finally reinstall my graphics card driver too. And when it tells me to restart my computer after I've loaded in the driver's. I get to the windows logo screen and it goes black AGAIN. Seems to me every time I try to load in my Graphics card driver and restart it goes to a black screen.
Any help or suggestions would be much appreciated!
My specs on the PC. A5A99X Evo r2.0 Mother board. R9 270X Graphics card AMD processor (can't remember the exact processor)
