Description of problem
My pc case has seperate jacks for my headphone and audio now i want to use my headphone for audio but what comes out sounds distorted i can only hear music through it (with horrible quality) no voices (the jack is a 3.5mm and my headset has a 3.5 mm input so i dont see the problem my pc recognises my headphone but the quality is awful(my headet has 1 input for both sound and the attached mic but neither seem to work my mic doesnt comethrough at al beside some static not caused by me and the sound as i already described isnt working wel either i have tested the sound on other devices where it worked just fine i have not yet tester the mic on other devices)

plug in my headset into my audio jack my pc asks what i put in i click on headphone i watch anything and the sound is horrible
What I've tried so far to resolve the issue
i tried looking through my sound settings for anything obvious but my pc recognises everything i tried going through the settings but nothing came up i tried a few things before returning everything back to default settings
