Been noticing this phenomenon for a while now. If I have a game open, most recently it has been Path of Exile, and I have chrome open - certain tabs will reduce or cause my game to perform poorly. I can run games at 144hz but if I have Twitch/Youtube or other heavy website open on my second monitor the FPS is halved or becomes stuttery. My workaround is to switch to a blank tab or one that is mainly only text and the issue is greatly reduced, almost eliminated.
I've turned Hardware Acceleration off and on in Chrome but neither settings appears to affect the issue. Temps are fine, nothing goes over 50C. Processor isn't downclocking from what I can tell. Cpu usage doesn't go over 40% and there's two free threads (at least when playing PoE) that aren't being taxed, albeit rarely. Power plan is set to Ryzen Balanced.
Any thoughts on what to look into next?
