I'm installing a PC for a family member who lives far away, so I won't be able to come and visit to solve problems. A little while ago I read some articles about Windows 10 re-enabling some privacy related settings that users had disabled (eg. collecting telemetry and such).

I know about O&O ShutUp10 and it's a nice tool to tweak these kinds of settings, but unfortunately it's a one-off thing. If a Windows Update decides to re-enable some settings, or install a bunch of shitty apps that nobody asked for and present them in the Start Menu, it can just do that unimpeded.

I recall that there is also a tool which runs in the background and occasionally checks these settings and when problems arise fixes them automatically. So kind of like a ShutUp10 that's running continuously. Unfortunately, I cannot find that tool right now.

Does anyone know what I'm talking about? Does such a tool exist or have I imagined it at all? This family member is not computer literate at all, and I don't want to risk that some day they are suddenly completely addicted to Candy Crush because it automatically installed, or that some random.
