Hi, I've been having an issue ever since I build my new rig and was hoping someone might be experiencing the same issue and possibly have fixed it.
Issue:
While watching Netflix on 60hz monitor, games stutter extremely badly on 144hz monitor.
More detailed explanation below.
The issue is I have two monitors. One is 60hz (HDMI) and the other is 144hz (DVI). When solely gaming, everything runs as expected and is smooth when just gaming. However, if I watch Netflix on my second (60hz) monitor, the experience becomes extremely stuttery on my main 144hz monitor while gaming. The frametimes constantly jump from 16ms to 25-30ms at constant and consistent rate. The frames per second remain at expected levels though.

This issue was not present on my Windows 7, 3570k build.
My rig is as follows:
-CPU- Ryzen 1600x @ 3.9
-GPU- GTX 1080
-MOBO- ASUS B350-F
-RAM- Corsair 16gb 2933mhz (Currently just one of the sticks because the other one was faulty)
-PSU- Seasonic 850w (X-series)
-OS- Windows 10 lastest version (Non creators/insiders) update
Monitor 1 -ASUS VG248 (144hz plugged in with DVI dual link)
Monitor 2 -ASUS VS248 (60hz plugged in with HDMI)
Troubleshooting so far:
1 Fresh reinstall of Windows 10
2 Fresh and clean install of Nvidia drivers
3 Used Nvidia inspector to force single/multi/compatible monitor mode in control panel settings as per the advice of some troubleshooting topics
4 Disable Hardware GPU acceleration in Chrome
5 Used Microsoft Edge while watching Netflix (Netflix stutters just by itself a tiny bit and a little worse when gaming on the 60hz monitor. Gaming stutters a little less than when watching Netflix on Chrome but, this is hardly the optimal solution)
6 Went into task manager and assigned the core affinity of my game to use it's own separate 4 cores/8 threads and Chrome running Netflix to it's own separate 2 cores/ 4 threads. Still stuttered even though loads were not even close to 100%
7 Currently downloading The fall creators update as per advice in this thread. Will update when finished installing
